  • What happens if there is an emergency over the weekend?

    Requests will be handled by FPL Home on a case-by-case basis.

  • What if my customers problem doesn’t get fixed right the first time?

    All repairs are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. See Terms and Conditions for details. 

  • Do you offer renters’ coverage?

    No. We do not currently offer renters’ coverage.

  • Will my customers receive good customer service?

    Yes. We strive to keep our customers happy. 

  • Do you offer Re-Key services?

    The home warranty plans offered by FPL Home will provide coverage for re-keying of previously installed and properly functioning knobs and/or deadbolts for the hinged doors accessing the structural walls of your client’s home up to the coverage benefit amount when a service request is made.

  • Can my clients select their own service technician?

    No.  FPL Home has an approved service provider contractor network. Other contractors may only be used with our pre-approval if we cannot locate an available in-network service provider with the expertise necessary to repair the applicable covered product. 

  • Is there a waiting period for the home warranty plan holder?

    No.  The home warranty plan holder can begin to file claims for breakdowns due to normal wear and tear upon the close of their home. Pre-existing conditions will not be covered.  See plan Terms and Conditions for complete details. 

  • How many central heating and air conditioning (“A/C”) units are covered under the home warranty plan?

    Under the Buyers Home Warranty Plus plan, FPL Home will provide coverage for one (“A/C”) unit. If coverage is needed for an additional (“A/C”) system, you can add it as an add-on. 

  • What is emergency lodging?

    Emergency lodging has coverage under the Buyers Home Coverage Warranty Plus plan and will reimburse you up to $200 per night for up to three nights for a hotel/motel stay. This benefit applies if your client’s only cooling or heating system is non-operational for 24-hours or more from the time of the first service visit. This reimbursement will also apply when a sudden break in a water pipe results in flooding and the removal of the water from the home by a water removal company is delayed by 24 hours or more.

  • When can I make a claim?

    You can file a Claim after Closing of the home and payment of the Plan fees.  If you are filing a Claim subsequent to payment of the applicable plan fees from escrow funds (from the closing of the property sale) but prior to FPL Home’s receipt of such fees, you may be required to provide proof of payment from escrow funds.
